Glitter, Glam & A Night of New Friends at Flower & Wolf
Back in December we hosted one of our YYC Girls Night Socials - Glitter & Glam at Flower & Wolf, the restaurant inside the Sheraton Suites Eau Claire in downtown Calgary.
These socials are honestly some of our favourite events to host. They’re simple in the best way: a room full of incredible women, great cocktails and mocktails, and a chance to meet new people in a relaxed, welcoming space.
Which is exactly what YYC Girls Night is all about.
A Girls Night Out in Downtown Calgary
Flower & Wolf was the perfect setting for the evening. The restaurant has such a cozy atmosphere, and being located right in downtown Calgary made it easy for women from all over the city to join us.
As guests arrived, the room slowly filled with introductions, laughter, and that slightly nervous-but-excited energy that happens when a group of people show up not knowing many others yet.
But that never lasts long.
Within minutes, people were chatting, sharing stories, and settling in with their drinks like they’d known each other for years.
A Social Designed to Meet People
The whole idea behind our YYC Girls Night Socials is simple: create a space where women in Calgary can come together, grab a drink, and actually meet new people.
Some guests came with friends, but many showed up solo - which we absolutely love seeing.
And it happens at almost every event: someone tells us they almost didn’t come because they didn’t know anyone.
Then by the end of the night, they’re laughing with a group at their table and exchanging Instagram handles before heading home.
That’s the kind of energy we want at every Girls Night event in Calgary.
A Pop-Up from Ellie Bianca
During the evening, guests also had the chance to check out a pop-up from Ellie Bianca, a beautiful Canadian skincare brand.
It added such a nice touch to the night and gave everyone the chance to discover something new while mingling and enjoying the social.
We love bringing amazing brands into our YYC Girls Night events and creating opportunities for our community to connect with businesses doing really great things.
Why We Love Hosting These Nights
It can be surprisingly hard to meet new people as an adult. Life gets busy, routines set in, and suddenly your circle doesn’t grow as easily as it used to.
That’s exactly why we started YYC Girls Night - to create spaces where women in Calgary can show up, relax, and connect without it feeling forced or awkward.
Just good drinks, good conversations, and a room full of people open to meeting someone new.
